A joint operation leads to a fentanyl bust in Camden County.

The Camden County Sheriff’s Office arrested a 34-year-old man for possessing one kilogram of fentanyl, which had a street value of approximately $100,000.

It was a joint operation with the United States Postal Inspection Service, and they discovered that controlled substances were being shipped from California to Kingsland and St. Marys, Georgia via USPS.

Marcus Isiah Milford was arrested for possessing the dangerous drug after investigators identified him as the primary source for the distribution of various controlled substances in Camden County.

Officials executed a search warrant at Milford’s home and discovered materials used to manufacture, weigh, package, and repack various narcotics. Milford has been charged with trafficking illegal drugs.

They also discovered $114,000 in cash and firearms inside the home.

“As a result of this joint investigation with the United States Postal Inspection Service a large quantity of dangerous drugs were not able to be distributed to people in Camden County. A key drug dealer has been removed from the community where he provided the poisonous fentanyl drug to our citizens,” Sheriff Jim Proctor said.

There were other arrests made in California related to this case.
